UNFOLDING THE STORY BEHIND THE NAME

Elva comes from the phrase "elle va," which means "she goes" in French.

The name Elva is derived from the Irish words eal, meaning light, and cloch, meaning stone or rock, symbolizing a luminous & steadfast presence.

It has historically been associated with strength, resilience and enlightenment. In some Scandinavian countries, Elva is linked to Elve, an Old Norse word for "river," symbolizing a fluid and earthy nature, evoking images of serene beauty, like a river at dawn or a bright stone in the light.

In Swedish, the word elva translates to 'eleven' a number that is deeply meaningful to me.

In Spanish or Italian, the name Elva could be a variation of Alba, meaning "dawn" or "sunrise," evoking the promise of new beginnings and the gentle glow of the first light of day.

Elva is formed by combining the first two letters of my first name, Elena, and my last name, Vartzioti.
